Direction issued by the CommissionReference detailed proceedings dated 02.03.10. Vide these proceedings, the Commission recommended to the Govt. of India, through Defence Secretary, to apy compensation of Rs.50,000/- each to the two victims. The Defence Secretary is directed to submit compliance report alongwith proof of payment within six weeks. Pursuant to the directions of the Commission, Sh. S. Ashraf, Under Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence, vide communication dated 30.4.10 has intimated that the payment of compensation amount of Rs.50,000/- each to the two victims has been approved by the competent authority and proof of payment would be forwarded to the Commission immediately on receipt from the army headquarters. Despite reminder dated 18.05.10, proof of payment is still awaited. Issue reminder to the Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, requiring him to ensure that proof of payment is furnished to the Commission within four weeks.
